Douglas County School District Special Education Advisory Committee (DCSEAC) is comprised of parents of students with disabilities, and district staff who share a common interest in quality education for students with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
The Douglas County Special Education Advisory Committee (DCSEAC) works collaboratively with the Department of Personalized Learning, families and other stakeholders to influence and support programming that meets the unique needs of all learners.

For parents coming to meetings:
The Douglas County Special Education Advisory Committee (DCSEAC) Parent/District meetings are open to all parents of students in the Douglas County School District. Those wishing to attend and observe a Parent/District meeting, please contact DCSEAC via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, prior to the meeting, to inform us that you will be attending. The Parent/District board meetings will be held on 1/8/20; 3/4/20 and 5/6/20 at the Lone Tree Elementary School from 6:30-8:00pm.
Those wishing to address the DCSEAC parent board may submit an email to email@example.com describing the matter that is wished to be discussed. This request must be approved by the DCSEAC parent board in order to be added to the agenda. The submission must be placed one week prior to the meeting. Upon approval, those wishing to address the parent board will be be given 5 minutes to voice their comments. If the board determines that the parent board meeting is not the appropriate forum, the request will be forwarded to the appropriate Special Education Coordinators and/or Special Education Directors. Parent Board Meetings will be held on 12/6/19; 2/7/20 and 4/3/20 at the Lone Tree Library from 12:15-1:45pm.
